About Michael Perry

Michael began his career as a rehabilitation sales representative after graduating from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. For eight years, he worked closely with a wide range of clients, from those with spinal cord injuries to seniors wanting to remain home in a safe and independent environment. His work included assessing clients for specialized medical equipment with a team of physical and occupational therapists. During his rehabilitation sales work, Michael felt he could make a greater impact by applying his skills and care through a hands-on approach.

In 1998, Michael began a course of studies in massage therapy at the New Hampshire Institute of Therapeutic Arts in Bridgton, Maine. After completing 750 hours of massage theory and practice in 1999, Michael opened a massage therapy business in South Portland, Maine. In the summer of 2000, Michael moved to Provincetown, MA. Since that time he has been practicing therapeutic massage on a year-round basis. In the winter of 2002, Michael traveled to Thailand and Vietnam where he completed a course in traditional Thai massage at Lek Chaiya School of Thai Massage in Chiang Mai.

He continues to advance his knowledge of massage through continuing education courses as required by the National Certification in Massage Therapy and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) through which he holds professional member status.

Michael has volunteered and donated services for several community-based programs. He was involved with The Ronald McDonald House in Portland, Maine, Maine Women’s Fund, The Peabody House HIV-hospice/housing program, University of New England Wellness Program, Provincetown Council on Aging, The Gay Men’s Domestic Violence Project, and Provincetown High School’s Mentorship Program.

Michael offers Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue / Neuromuscular Therapy, Energy / Polarity Treatment, and Combined Modality Treatment.
